This isn't just a one-night mixer. By purchasing a ticket to the initial event on Wednesday, July 15th, you are officially committing to the entire series. Your match is counting on you to continue to show up!

Because our matching system relies entirely on everyone participating, punctuality is mandatory for all events.

👥 How the 3-part Match Experience Works:

• Part 1: The Match & Mixer (Wednesday, July 15th) Show up, grab a drink, and fill out our exclusive compatibility survey. At 7:15 PM, the algorithm drops and everyone’s matches are released at the exact same time!

• Part 2: The Dinner Meetup. You will be paired with your #1 top compatible match from the quiz. To make meeting up easy, we will send out a Post event scheduling survey to help you both lock in a time and place. We will make reservations for you to head to one of our curated partner restaurants in Memphis offering an exclusive, specially discounted menu (including a drink!). You have a 2-week window to complete this 1-on-1 dinner before the end of July. Location, Date, Time TBD

• Part 3: The August Dinner Party Finale (FREE Entry!) In August, Better Around Us is launching our exclusive Dinner Party Series. While these will normally be ticketed events, your ticket for the mixer gets you into the first August dinner party completely FREE. At this grand finale, you will be seated at a table with your July match plus additional compatible matches you haven't met yet. This will give you multiple compatible matches total by the end of the experience! Location TBD

How it works:

All attendees must bring 10+ items to barter to enter the trade.

To participate, you must bring at minimum 10 items to trade. Think homemade, homegrown, or uniquely crafted! Items must be worth $5+. Bakery items are the one exception as they are typically priced at a lower rate.

Need some inspiration? You can bring:

• 🍞 Baked Goods: Loaves of bread, cakes, cookies, or pastries.

• 🍯 Pantry Staples: Homemade butter, jams, pickles, or honey.

• 🎨 Crafts & Trinkets: Handmade jewelry, candles, pottery, or art prints.

• 🌱 Garden Surplus: Bundles of fresh herbs, starter plants, or fresh produce.

• 🤝 Services: Photography, lessons, or consulting, tattoos, rentals

The Rules:

1. All items should be individually packaged/portioned into separate units so they are easy to trade.

2. Please trade all items you bring.

3. Come ready to chat, negotiate, and meet your neighbors!

Tables are first come first serve. Once all of our tables are reserved, you will need to bring your own table to participate.

Mini Book Club Coffee Pop Up

At each meetup, we will discuss a Book, Pop-Culture drama, or New Music that is out for the month!

This month, we are taking a book that did terribly in reviews, read a dramatic excerpt aloud, and decide if the bad ratings are well deserved. then, we put the characters on trial, debate their chaotic choices, and vote on who is the worst written character. The goal is to find joy in things that other people found extremely lacking.
